After years of trying to unload his Florida mansion, Billy Joel has finally reached a settlement.
“The Piano Man” has found a buyer for his big block after a six-year saga of price changes and re-listings on the market, The Post has learned.
Joel snapped up the Manalapan oceanfront estate for $22.1 million in 2015. But the price has fluctuated wildly in value — it first appeared on the market for $33 million in 2018, re-listed in 2022 for $64.9 million, and dropped by $10 million by January 2024. The final listing was set at $49.9 million.
The purchase price? Still Closed, as the sale is under contract, meaning the transaction has not yet closed.
Joel’s representatives declined to comment on the pending sale. Christian Angle, of Christian Angle Real Estate, had the listing and did not respond to a message seeking comment.
Despite the back-and-forth pricing, the estate — located about 13 miles from Palm Beach — screams luxury.
Sitting on 1.61 acres, this Mediterranean-style beauty was built in 2010 and boasts 13,349 square feet of pure grandeur. Spread over three floors, it offers nine bedrooms, 11 full bathrooms and a guest house.
Guests arriving through the fountain terrace are greeted by a two-story foyer with a gas crystal chandelier. The home’s interior is adorned with coffered ceilings, white stonework and a sweeping double staircase framed by sleek black railings.
The mansion’s laundry list of features includes a grand fireplace in the master bath, balconies with ocean views, a pub room with a marble bar, a private movie theater and a wine cellar that will keep your reds at just the right temperature. There is also an air-conditioned garage – big enough for more than 12 cars.
Out back, covered patios and a lush pool deck provide the ideal space to soak up the Florida sun. Beyond the pool lies a courtyard with grass and a gate that opens directly onto the beach.
Across the street from the main digs is a guest house located next to a private deep-water dock on the Lake Worth Lagoon, with two bedrooms, a kitchenette and even an elevator. Plus, there’s a staff house with two more bedrooms and a full kitchen.
But Joel isn’t saying goodbye to Florida completely.
He’s already upgraded to Boca Raton’s ultra-exclusive Sanctuary neighborhood, sticking to his promise to return to the Sunshine State earlier this year, joking, “I’m going to spend more time in Florida like the old Jewish boys from Long Island do.”
Up north, Joel briefly hung out his 26-acre Long Island estate on Center Island to potential buyers before taking it off the market for some improvements, as The Post previously reported. No word on when that piece of Long Island real estate heaven will hit the market again.
