A popular series author and bestselling author, the self-confessed liberal believes that liberal women may prefer to find love with a conservative man in order to feel safe and respected.
Steve Santagati, who wrote the 2008 book, The Handbook: A Real Bad Boy Explains How Men Think, Date, and Socialize—and What Women Can Do to Come Out on Top, said many liberal women can’t find what they do. they are looking for men with whom they agree politically.
“It’s not that women like, quote, ‘conservative men,’ they just don’t like liberals and they don’t like men who aren’t real men,” Santagati told Fox News Digital.
“Any liberal woman who is with a liberal man, she most likely hates him, she resents him,” Santagati continued. “Women want to be with a man they can trust to feel safe with. And the conclusion is that conservative men have these qualities compared to liberals.
Santagati thinks many women believe in traditional gender roles, even if they are afraid to admit it. He said that deep down, most women want a male spouse, regardless of what is politically correct to accept these days.
“No matter what they tell you ‘Equality, blah blah blah’, if they keep pushing it on you, ask any woman to give you an honest answer.” You are driving on the road. It’s raining. You get a tire and your liberal beta man says, ‘Honey, I don’t want to usurp your femininity. So why don’t you go out and change the tire, and I’ll wait here and listen to NPR?’ It won’t happen. She will hate you,” said Santagati.
Santagati was amused last month when CNN’s Dana Bash essentially suggested during coverage of the Democratic National Convention that the Harris-Walz ticket appeals to men who may not be as masculine as their Republican counterparts.
“They’re doing it by trying to present male figures, Tim Walz being one of them, Doug Emhoff last night, who can speak to men out there who may not be the testosterone-laden type, you know, type of weapons. of the guy who wants to hear Hulk Hogan and the kind of players that came out at the RNC,” Bash said.
Santagati agrees that Walz and Emhoff aren’t exactly oozing masculinity, but he felt Democrats were targeting traditional men by playing up the Minnesota governor’s experience as an assistant high school football coach and pushing camouflage campaign hats.
Santagati laughed as he sarcastically suggested that Cabela’s brothers and men who shop at Bass Pro Shop might suddenly support Walz because he likes camo, too. He also doesn’t think that the typical non-masculine man can make himself desirable to women if they are too leftist in ideology.
“It’s not like you can pick up a fly fishing rod or shoot a gun and suddenly you’re a man,” Santagati said.
“It’s really about… logic and common sense,” he continued. “Can I take care of you? Am I a stable guy? These are the dominant factors that make a conservative very different from a shy liberal.”
Santagati also joked about the group of single friends hanging around last month’s DNC.
“If you look at the DNC… and you look at the people who are involved, especially at the level that would participate in an event like this, they are very angry people,” Santagati added. “Men are not honest with themselves. It’s all a veneer of “Oh yeah, I apologize for my whiteness.” I apologize for my male toxicity. I apologize for these things, women don’t like that.
